Nutraberry Brings Red Raspberry Seed to B&D’s Distribution Business

B&D Nutritional Ingredients, Inc., Vista, CA, has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Seattle- based Nutraberry LLC. Through this agreement, B&D will supply Nutraberry’s Meeker Red Raspberry Seed Powder and Extract to the U.S. dietary supplement, functional food and personal care markets.

Among the numerous plants that have medicinal properties, raspberries are particularly noteworthy because of their ellagitannin content. A great many scientific articles on the biological activity of the components of raspberries have been published. Ninety percent of the total ellagitannins is located within the seeds, which normally pass through the body intact and therefore do not allow the body to absorb the ellagitannins.
